She comes from an esteemed background in both pop and classical, having studied extensively on an opera scholarship at Louisiana State University with Grammy-award winning New York City tenor, Robert Grayson. Cat has travelled the world refining her vocal skills working with notable teachers and coaches such as Eugene Sirotkine (Asst.
While the world of opera was filled with incredible opportunities, Cat being a songwriter at heart, decided to hang up her operatic stage shoes and pursue her love of pop. She signed with the largest independent record label in Canada, 604 Records, and in 2014 she released her first album. The album, 'Puzzle', was a critical success, earning her "EP album of the year" through numerous music blogs and publications. Cat has had the immense pleasure and opportunity to work alongside some of the most celebrated artists of the past decade including Ariana Grande, Marianas Trench, Tavish Crowe (Carly Rae Jepsen) and more.
Cat is a certified RCM Voice teacher, and began teaching voice to students of all ages and levels in 2010, helping others to hone their craft and fall in love with their instrument. She specializes in pop and classical with many of her students going on to lead professional careers in opera, musical theatre, and the pop industry. Cat works closely with her students to prepare them for their best performance, whether that be on stage to hundreds of audience members or in the shower to the shampoo bottle!
